“Under the influence”

Come on in with a violent wind. Slam the doors that keep blocking your way. Scream your lungs out next to ears that insist in not hearing you. But find the strength to be gentle. Bring gentleness to the poppies. They will not be around tomorrow, probably. They are of a frail nature but their grace lives in the souls and hearts of the fallen men who fought on the plains of the Flanders. There is reason for kindness. Be kind to whoever needs compassion. Be respectful to anyone who comes with an open heart and raise your flag high so that everyone knows your proud heritage. But don’t be vain or arrogant in doing so.
